Latin. The language of perfection.

The greatest funeral march ever. Humble and epic at the same time.

Everybody knows the Ride of the Valkyries, but I think the prelude of the Valkyrie part of the Ring operas is more epic:

1:25+ is totally gorgeous!

The female voice: Diane Damrau, O zittre nicht (Oh don't tremble)

Starting at 3:49. 4:20+ is incredible and when she throws her arms into the air at 4:38 and the perfect notes at 4:48, amazing. What acting, what a voice! Gorgeous!

Auf ewig dein!

"Who's this, George Washington?" Sorry to say, but Beethoven is the greater celebrity. Music for the ages! Although I admire GW.

Played by Widor HIMSELF:

Edit: BTW, my mother told me that this was my father's (may he rest in piece) favourite piece of organ music which put it into a special place of my heart.

Edit: Yup.

A few hours ago, my most beloved mother has died, following my father into the grave.

Thanks, Beethoven and Chopin for having made me cry.
