Role PM’s Listing:

Noodle:

You are Malakai.

https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Malakai

You are anti town (not mafia) You are allied only with yourself. You are the one who activated the ancient time loop machine, which is causing the day to repeat endlessly.

You are in possession of:

Malakai's force field, Malakai’s Gun, Malakai’s Viewer and the ancient time loop machine.

Malakai’s Forcefield is passive, it prevents anyone from getting to you (figuratively) and stopping or destroying the time loop device.

Malakai’s Gun may be used to stun someone once per day loop. This prevents them from posting in any manner for the rest of the current day period.

Malakai’s Viewer: Passive. Creates a global bus driver effect, every night until it’s destroyed,

Win condition. Based on the episode that this game based off of, it is very difficult to assign a specific win condition to you, as the episode was about going through multiple time loops of the same several hour period and eventually getting Malakai to give up and shut down the machine on his own. Therefore, you will given a target at random for each day period. You must push hard and in any way you can to get that person lynched. If you succeed in doing this three times before the other players can find a way to take down your forcefield and stop tome from looping, you win and the game ends.

Your first target is: D2DC (Chosen via random number generator based off number line at signup of game not counting you at #1)

Pyrotechnician:

You are Dr. Janet Frasier:

https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Janet_Fraiser

You may target one player per night in an attempt to save them from a night kill.

Win condition: You, along with the rest of the town, must find a way to defeat Malakai.

Leopold Stotch:

You are The Door Airman:

https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Airman_(Window_of_Opportunity)

You are a vanilla town.

Win Condition: You, along with the rest of the town must find a way to defeat Malakai.

Huckit:

You are Master Sergeant Siler:

https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Sylvester_Siler

You are Town aligned. You are a roleblocker power role. Each night phase you may target one player and role block them. The role block lasts all night and into the next day phase (if applicable) they are not prevented from voting. Players are not informed that they were/are roleblocked

Win condition: You, along with the rest of the town must find a way to defeat Malakai.

D2Lover:

You are Teal’c of Chulak:

https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Teal'c_of_Chulak

You are a vigilante. You are town aligned. You may target a player once per cycle (either day or night but not both) and shoot them dead. You like to say “Indeed” quite often. You can say indeed whenever but it must be often. Also whenever anyone questions you, you must begin your reply post by saying “Indeeed” and doing a hat tip emote.

Win condition: You, along with the rest of the town must find a way to defeat Malakai.

D2DC:

You are the SF Guard: https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/SF_Guard_(Show_and_Tell)

You are vanilla town and have no special abilities other than your voice and your vote:

Win condition: You, along with the rest of the town must find a way to defeat Malakai.

Roles posted public in thread:

***This game is: NOT NORMAL, you have been warned***

1. Talk about your role and this game is strictly prohibited outside of the game thread until it is over except when allowed by the game mod in a role PM or in specific QT Threads.

2. Do not post in the game thread during the night phase. Any post made after the start of the night phase, regardless of if it is declared by the game mod, cam result in a mod kill of the poster, it will be up to the game mod weather or not a mod kill happens. Repeated posts during the night phase will also result in a mod kill.

3. Editing a post you made in game, for any reason will result in a mod kill.

4. Any flavor story given regarding lynches and kills is for flavor only.

5. Once you're dead, stay that way. Dead people tell no tales, or in this case, dead people make no posts. If you’re dead and either post or try to influence the game (yes, it happened) can be barred from playing and possibly banned from the forum. Posting in a designated “Dead Thread” Quick Topic is fine.

6. Every player gets one lynch vote during the day unless told otherwise in their role PM. Votes and Unvotes need to be bolded . If your unvote isn't bolded, it doesn't count and please try to put it at the bottom of your post. Please be very clear as to who you are voting for, avoid nicknames, etc,.

Example:
Vote: Dredd (Correct)
Unvote: Dredd (Correct)

Vote: Dredd (Incorrect, not bolded)
Unvote: Dredd (Incorrect, not bolded)

V or v: Dredd (Incorrect, the entire word Vote needs to be there)
UV or uv: Dredd (Incorrect, the entire phrase Unvote or Un Vote needs to be there)

7. Lynching requires the majority of the players alive to vote for the same player. That is, half of the remaining number of players + 1 rounded down. A lock occurs when someone with enough votes to be lynched receives an additional vote, and will be lynched at the end of the day and cannot be unvoted. (Add language here for the number that is the majority and the number that would cause a lock.)

8. The 50 % Rule: The game will be called and end early if, the remaining mafia outnumber the town, IE, the town can’t get enough votes in to cause a lynch to happen.

8. The 50% rule does not apply to this game. The town must find a way to defeat Malakai before he fulfills his win condition and wins.

9. If you have any questions or issues with your role, or any other player, please the mod of this game in order to find a resolution. Please don’t suicide or do anything rash before
contacting the game’s mod.

10. Any player may claim any role. I.E. Any player may claim to be something that they
are not. For example, I claim to be the treestump.

11. Do not post any information sent to you in a pm by the host. This includes, but is not limited to, numbers of words/letters/punctuation marks. If you want to claim a role, don't copy paste the PM that was sent to you.

12. The Day lasts 48 hours and night lasts 24 hours. This game will start with a Day Phase

13. You will get mod killed if you are inactive (at least 2 actual contributive posts per day
phase required to be considered "active"). Posting just to meet the posting requirements and actually not doing anything that adds to the discussion, or informational process of the game, or just posting for the sake of posting can and will likely result in a mod kill. This rule is amended to avoid situations that happened in past games.

13: There won’t be any modkills this game.

14. If you are (temp) banned from the site itself, you will also be mod killed. (Hopefully no bans happen)

15. If you cannot continue to play the game for any reason, send the host of the game a PM.

16. Behavior - Please don't take anything said in this thread that may be directed at you as a personal attack, it's the way this game is played. Rivalries (such as the infamous Noodle vs. Bad Ash rivalry) are fine. It's all in the spirit of the game. Don’t be a ****. Mafia can and will get heated, but below the belt attacks will not be tolerated. Attack the play not the player. Calling another player or players morons or any other forum of disrespect, is Prestige7. Don’t be a Prestige7. It won’t be tolerated.

17. Read the rules and your Role PM once more. Have fun and good luck! May the best team, faction, or loner win!

18. Please post in thread with a comment about Kansas to verify to me that you have read the rules.

19. Items. There are mystery items in this game, the items are numbered 1 through 25. Players will first bid on position in line to pick and then may pick a number from one to 25 in order to pick a single one use item. These items may be used once per day, and cannot be traded. The key to winning the game is in these items.

20. Due to the unique nature of this game, player roles (not player alignments) can randomly change at the start of a day phase.

21. Have fun and good luck!

Behind the scenes mod rules and stuffs:

1. All deaths are not final. Anyone “dead” is alive again at the start of the next day.

2. All kills are being tallied per player.

3: As long as Noodle has the item “Malakai’s Viewer” intact, there is a global bus driver effect on all night actions, and items as well.

4. Everyone is subject to being Lynched or NK’d (pending night action outcomes) Killing players in any way has no effect on actually ending the game.

5. Specific as to Noodle: In order for his devices to be destroyed, an item that can destroy his items must be targeted at him by another player. The only two items capable of taking down Noodle’s forcefield are: The Staff Weapon (2 total hits to Noodle to disable) and the Zat'nik'tel (Three total hits to Noodle to disable)

Noodle’s powers remain in full effect as long as his forcefield is up.

10. 7:43 PM forum stamp time, both shoot each other and the game ends in a town win for the reasons stated.

That should be most of it above.

I had a few thoughts during the game:

As Noodle was the bad guy all along (the game was pretty much kill Noodle) he was the one doing the stunning. I realized after he stunned the second person that the town might eventually catch on because Noodle wasn't getting stunned. I indirectly warned Noodle of this in his Role PM by posting the the star wars clip of Tarkin on the first Death Star right before it exploded - (Evacuate, in our moment of triumph!??) but I don;t think he caught on.

As to one of D2DC's questions, I used the cast from the episode as in game roles. But when I reassigned roles I used the "bye" method that I stated before to only assign roles out of a total of 9 to 5 players.

I know Noodle enjoyed playing, he said so.

Though to the players that got the O'Neill role, I apologize for the massive post restriction.

Another reason I decided to end the game on a town win was even though Noodle likely wouldn't have been able to win (he would have had to try and convince the rest of you to lynch one of you or have been on that person's lynch wagon if that other person was killed) The fact that the rest of you now knew his identity, this would likely not happen, i also thought that people would start getting tired of repeating the same day over and over and over and over and over...

Cant really reproduce everything that was said in ROLE Pm threads over the course of the game so I'll leave that up to any of you if you want to post yours.

There are no QT threads or any private topics for this game, that's a wrap.

I learned about pizza burritos, so I consider it a win. Thanks for hosting, and congrats to the town.

Well uh. Congrats us I guess? The game setup was really interesting. It had a lot of neat mechanics going on. I'd say the wincon for Noodle was a steep one just because as mentioned we can't get our shit together for a lynch like...ever.

I'll post more when I'm back home and thanks to Gorny for hosting.

The wincon for Noodle was a steep one because I anticipated the town possibly not using the correct items on noodle or not being able to figure out that Noodle was Malakai until at least a few days in and then possibly not using the right items against him.

I would have made it, but for those meddling kids.
Oh for crying out..... thanks Gorny, I had a lot of fun even if I spent most of the game being rather confused. I’m sure that won’t change too much in future games ;-P
